Cohance Lifesciences reported a consolidated loss of Rs 45.19 crore for the quarter ended June, against a profit of Rs 46.40 crore a year earlier. Total income fell to Rs 434.51 crore from Rs 563.48 crore, with the company citing shipment timing, weaker agrochemical and formulations revenue, and lower CDMO contribution. Gross margin narrowed to 71.5% from 73%. The Hindu reports that a US FDA inspection of the company’s Hyderabad facility produced five observations, none linked to data integrity. Cohance said it is preparing corrective actions. NDTV Profit reports that the shares rose more than 2%, as investors focused on the inspection outcome despite the weak results. The company expects improvement from the second quarter and year-on-year growth in the second half.
