The association has held talks with H2 Innovation, which seeks partners in Tamil Nadu to manufacture and market green hydrogen fuel cells. A delegation will visit Japan in October for further discussions. Karunanidhi Kasinathan of K-KCCS India Private Limited told The Hindu that tri-partite Memoranda of Understanding are being signed with five educational institutions in Tamil Nadu to research green hydrogen and make it cost-competitive. Yosuke Mori of H2 Innovation said the minimum investment to set up a plant is Rs 20-25 crore.
