# US teen with gifted piano releases debut album

Jude Kofie, a Colorado teenager who taught himself piano at age 10, has released his debut album 'Introducing Jude Kofie' on Octave Records. The album features jazz, gospel, Latin, soul and pop interpretations. Kofie was born prematurely, underwent multiple heart surgeries, and is autistic. In 2023, piano tuner Bill Magnusson used an inheritance to buy Kofie a $15,000 piano worth about $45,000. Magnusson also promised lifetime monthly tuning and funded professional lessons. The album was recorded using Octave Records' Pure DSD process.
