The 14th edition of the Caribbean Premier League starts on August 8 (4:30 AM IST) with the Jamaica Kingsmen, the league's seventh franchise, making their debut against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. The tournament, originally scheduled to begin September 8 per one source, runs until September 20 and features 39 matches. The Kingsmen are owned by Fawad Sarwar, a Pakistani businessman who also owns the Hyderabad Kingsmen in the Pakistan Super League. The eight other teams are Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Saint Lucia Kings, and Trinbago Knight Riders. Nicholas Pooran leads Trinbago Knight Riders, while Roston Chase captains Saint Lucia Kings. Matches will be streamed live in India on JioHotstar, Fancode, and YouTube.
