# One arrested, another booked over defamatory posts against Kerala CM

Cyber police in Kerala arrested Nithin Kakkedath of Beypore on Thursday for a defamatory Facebook post against Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan. The complaint was filed by a Congress worker. A separate case has been registered against history-sheeter Arjun Ayanki for a post on August 5 that called the CM a 'joker and liar' and claimed Oommen Chandy was better, police said. Ayanki, who is wanted in other cases including threats to police officers, remains at large. The Ernakulam Rural Cyber Police booked him under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for provocation and obscenity, and the IT Act. The Kerala High Court recently dismissed his anticipatory bail plea.
