They said they would try to secure the money and move the project forward. Around 150 families live in Dhodipada in Dhundalwadi, Dahanu taluka. Although a gravel road leads to the local cremation ground, residents must take a 1.5 km detour. They have demanded a bridge over the river for a shorter, safer route, especially for carrying bodies to the cremation ground.
