# Danam Nagender Praises BRS Leaders as Defection Case Continues

Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, who moved from the BRS to the Congress after the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections, has praised K Chandrasekhar Rao, KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao in an interview with a local social media channel. He said he still held KCR in high regard. The remarks come as BJP MLA Alleti Mahesh Reddy’s challenge to the Telangana Speaker’s dismissal of a disqualification petition remains before the Telangana High Court, which issued notices to the Speaker and Nagender in March. Siasat.com reports that BRS leaders do not want Nagender or other defectors back, while Congress leaders say he remains in the party but has lost influence in decision-making.
