# Dasara 2026 box office battle: Nani, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi films line up 2026-08-21T12:23:05+00:00 | Entertainment | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 1 independent outlet The run-up to Dasara 2026 is shaping into a crowded festive season as multiple big-ticket films lock release dates within a short window. Nani's The Paradise is scheduled for September 24. Sundeep Kishan's Sigma and Venkatesh's Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 are both set for October 2, setting up a Gandhi Jayanti weekend clash. The competition intensifies with Comrade Kalyan targeting October 9. Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 has officially locked October 15. Chiranjeevi's Vishwambhara is reportedly aiming for October 16, though that date is unconfirmed. Dhanush's OM Chapter 1 is also scheduled for October 16. Screen allocation, audience division and word-of-mouth will be decisive factors. ## Indian Opinion Analysis A Dasara clash among three tier-one stars, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Dhanush, within 24 hours is unprecedented in recent Telugu and Tamil cinema. The last comparable festive pile-up was Diwali 2023, when multiple big releases split the box office. For producers, the risk is huge: a single underperformer can lose Rs 50-100 crore in a crowded window. The real battle will be for screen count, especially in multiplex chains that allocate based on advance bookings. Watch for official confirmations from Chiranjeevi's team and the final exhibitor agreements by mid-2026. ## Coverage - m9.news Frames the release lineup as a 'battle' and 'fight' with drama-first language, no sourcing of dates beyond official and reported claims.
