A Chhattisgarh police constable's widow received an automated Ayushman Bharat message 42 days after his death, congratulating him on recovery and saying he was 'heading home'. Devnarayan Ram, 39, died at Ambikapur Medical College Hospital on June 30. His wife Seema Kujur, a nurse, got the SMS on August 6. The hospital attributed the lapse to a data entry operator who delayed closing the claim. It said only Rs 16,500 was deducted for his five-day treatment, and no extra package was used. The operator has been removed. Kujur demanded a high-level inquiry, saying if this can happen to a police family, common and tribal citizens face even greater risks.
