The plan includes 12 decentralised sewage treatment plants in the Najafgarh region under the Centre’s AMRUT scheme, costing around Rs 860 crore and adding 46.5 MGD of capacity. The facilities are expected to serve 121 unauthorised colonies, 35 villages and nearly seven lakh residents. The government will also expand Keshopur’s sewage treatment capacity from 12 MGD to 18 MGD at a cost of about Rs 122 crore.
