Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said each device collects dust from a 400-square-metre radius and alerts authorities when full after 15-20 days. The devices are among 22 shortlisted technologies now undergoing pilot trials. Separately, Gupta announced plans to overhaul registrar offices with AI-based facial recognition and blockchain-backed record security, modelled on Passport Seva Kendras.
