# Delhi court sees syndicate in NEET paper leak, allows fresh CBI probe

A Delhi court has taken cognisance of the CBI charge sheet in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case, saying there is 'overwhelming incriminating material' that the 13 accused formed a syndicate to leak and circulate the question paper for illegal gain. Special Judge Ajay Gupta noted that subject experts PV Kulkarni, Manisha Sanjay Havaldar and Manisha Gurunath Mandhare violated written undertakings and sold leaked questions to co-accused and candidates in the guise of coaching. On August 14, the court also allowed the CBI's plea for further investigation after the agency said fresh digital evidence and CFSL reports revealed crucial aspects and pointed to individuals not yet listed as accused. The case stems from the May 3 NEET-UG cancellation over leak allegations; the re-exam was held on June 21, and former education minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned over the row.
