# Delhi High Court Restrains Bihar Firm From Using Nintendo Name 2026-08-06T04:21:59+00:00 | India | Indian Opinion Desk The Delhi High Court has temporarily barred a Bihar-based real estate company from using the name Nintendo or “Nintendo India Private Limited”. Justice Jyoti Singh issued the interim order on July 29, after finding that the name was nearly identical or deceptively similar to the Japanese gaming company’s registered trademark and could confuse the public. Nintendo said it discovered the Patna-registered company in November 2025. The realty firm deals in land and other properties. A cease-and-desist notice sent in February 2026 did not resolve the issue, prompting Nintendo to approach the court. The order will remain in force until further directions.
