# Delhi HC seeks police stand on appeals by Ankit Sharma convicts

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought the Delhi Police's stand on appeals by Nazim and Kasim against their life imprisonment for the murder of IB officer Ankit Sharma in the 2020 northeast Delhi riots. The police informed the court they are also preparing an appeal against the trial court's acquittal of six accused. The convicts' lawyers argued that no test identification parade was held and the sole witness's testimony lacked corroboration. The bench admitted the appeals and listed the matter for December 2.
