The Delhi High Court has granted an interim injunction protecting Bollywood actor Tabu from unauthorised use of her name, image, voice, and other personality attributes, including through AI, deepfakes, and face morphing. Justice Jyoti Singh ordered major platforms like Google, Meta, X, and Reddit to remove or disable over 150 URLs carrying allegedly objectionable content. Tabu had complained that AI-generated obscene images and videos, created by manipulating scenes from her films and public appearances, were being circulated online. The court also restrained a publication from disseminating a fabricated statement attributed to her, calling it an 'egregious act'.
