# Delhi Metro to start at 4 am on Independence Day for Red Fort event

The Delhi Metro will begin services at 4 am on August 15, 2026, from all terminal stations to help guests and the public reach the Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort. Trains will run every 30 minutes on all lines until regular revenue services start. DMRC has supplied 1.30 lakh special QR tickets to the Ministry of Defence for invitees holding valid admit cards. The nearest stations to the venue are Lal Quila, Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate. Delhi Traffic Police will close several roads near Red Fort from 4 am to 10 am. Security across the Metro network has been intensified from August 9 to 16.
