Delhi Police has placed the Red Fort under a multi-layered security cover for Independence Day, deploying 1,000 CCTV cameras, facial recognition system (FRS) vans, and the Abhigyan app. Over 15,000 security personnel will guard the event on August 15, with an expected 25,000 attendees including VIPs. The Abhigyan app, used extensively for the first time, holds a database of over 1.32 crore individuals with criminal records, according to Times Now.
