The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission’s August 10 order allows BRPL, BYPL and TPDDL to recover additional surcharges of 7.94%, 7.43% and 8.50% respectively, on top of the capped 10% FPPAS. The discoms had sought much higher recovery, claiming actual power purchase costs rose “significantly” over the approved base. The regulator said the extra charge enables them to recover at least a reasonable part of the increase.
