# Red Fort I-Day rehearsal: traffic curbs from 4 am

Delhi Traffic Police will close roads around the Red Fort from 4 am to 10 am on August 13 for the Independence Day full-dress rehearsal. Vehicles without rehearsal labels must avoid key stretches including C-Hexagon India Gate and Ring Road between Nizamuddin Khatta and ISBT Kashmiri Gate. The DMRC has urged commuters to use the metro as an alternative. Interstate buses and goods vehicles face restrictions from midnight. Earlier, in May, nearly one lakh people attended a Janjati Saanskritik Samagam at the Red Fort, leading to similar traffic diversions and processions across central and north Delhi.
