# TMC accuses Centre of rushing Bills through Lok Sabha

Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien accused the BJP-led Union government of rushing legislation through the Lok Sabha with little debate during the Monsoon Session. He described the process as “passing Bills like cooking Maggi noodles”. O’Brien shared a graphic claiming six Bills were passed in two to 10 minutes each, including the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026, and the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026. The New Indian Express reports that O’Brien also accused the government of disrupting Parliament and said scrutiny by parliamentary committees had fallen sharply.
