The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has scrapped the requirement for exporters to submit physical duty payment challans when applying for Export Obligation Discharge Certificates (EODC) under the Advance Authorisation and EPCG schemes, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Monday. The change applies to voluntary duty payments made on or after August 1, 2026. Payment details will now be verified digitally through the DGFT Customer Portal, using data integrated from Customs and ICEGATE. The ministry said the move will cut processing time, reduce manual work, and improve transparency.
