# Diwali smartphone sales begin across Amazon, Flipkart 2026-10-29T12:36:30+00:00 | Technology | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 4 independent outlets Flipkart's Big Bang Diwali Sale 2026 started on 28 October, offering up to 60% discounts on smartphones, laptops, wearables and home goods. The iPhone 17 is listed at Rs 79,999, down from Rs 99,900, with additional bank and exchange offers. The sale will remain active for 20 days. Amazon is offering the iPhone 16 at Rs 76,999, down from Rs 89,900, with an additional Rs 5,000 bank discount bringing the effective price to Rs 71,999, as per India Today. OnePlus has announced festive offers on its OnePlus 15 series, Nord 6 series, OnePlus Pad 4 and audio products, including discounts, bank offers and no-cost EMI, Gadgets360 reports. Times Now lists best smartphone deals under Rs 30,000 on Flipkart and Amazon, featuring OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite at Rs 29,278, Nothing Phone (4b) at Rs 29,999, iQOO Z11x 5G at Rs 27,999, Samsung Galaxy M47 5G at Rs 26,999, and Redmi Note 17 5G at Rs 27,999, all with bank and exchange offers. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Coverage of Diwali smartphone sales is uniformly neutral across all four outlets, each reporting deals as announced by Amazon and Flipkart without any political or ideological framing. Gadgets360 focuses on OnePlus's own festive offers and its claim of below-industry price increases, while Livemint leads with Apple iPhone discounts on Flipkart and India Today highlights a single iPhone 16 deal on Amazon. Times Now provides a buyer's guide under Rs 30,000 listing multiple brands. No outlet critiques pricing strategy, consumer protection, or market impact. The divergence is purely editorial: each outlet picks a different price segment or brand to lead with, reflecting commercial rather than political choices. The next concrete step for consumers is to verify product listings and offer terms before buying, as Livemint advises. ## Coverage Coverage: 4 sources, 4 neutral - gadgets360.com (neutral report) Straightforward announcement of OnePlus festive offers - timesnownews.com (neutral report) Buyer's guide listing deals under Rs 30,000 - livemint.com (neutral report) Factual reporting of Flipkart sale and iPhone prices - indiatoday.in (neutral report) Focused on a single iPhone 16 price drop on Amazon This brief was synthesised by AI from the 4 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
