# Telangana EAGLE Force seizes Rs 22 lakh drugs, 8 held in three operations

The Telangana EAGLE Force has busted three interstate drug networks in separate operations, arresting eight people and seizing narcotics worth about Rs 22 lakh. In Hyderabad’s Miyapur and Saifabad, seven people were held with mephedrone and opium valued at Rs 12.65 lakh, the police said. The drugs came from Rajasthan via courier, bus and train. On the Konark Express, a 22-year-old was caught with 18.5 kg of dry ganja worth Rs 9.26 lakh, The Hindu reports. The accused, a sewing machine worker from Odisha, allegedly confessed to transporting it for an absconding supplier from Ganjam district. All accused have been charged under the NDPS Act.
