Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has pulled ahead of Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947 in advance ticket sales for their August 14 release. According to Sacnilk, Awarapan 2 has collected Rs 2.05 crore from 62,431 tickets sold across 3,684 shows nationwide. Batwara 1947 trails with Rs 53.21 lakh from 18,109 tickets over 3,477 shows. In Hyderabad, the gap is starker: Siasat.com reports Awarapan 2 earned Rs 11.26 lakh from 89 shows at 25% occupancy, while Batwara 1947 managed Rs 87,380 from 42 shows at 2% occupancy.
