Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 has collected Rs 133.58 crore in 10 days, becoming the fifth highest-grossing film of 2026, surpassing Welcome To The Jungle's Rs 130.79 crore. The sequel has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in its first week and needs Rs 34.68 crore to overtake fourth-place Bhooth Bangla at Rs 168.26 crore. Buoyed by the film's success, makers of Hashmi's next project Gunmaster G9, starring Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana, will release its first teaser on Wednesday. The film has also reached Rs 192.80 crore worldwide, needing Rs 8 crore to hit the Rs 200 crore global milestone.

## Indian Opinion Analysis

The Hindustan Times and Bollywood Hungama reports align closely on Awarapan 2's box office numbers and Emraan Hashmi's career resurgence, offering a uniform neutral-report stance. Both frame the sequel's success as a nostalgia-driven comeback without sensationalising or taking sides. The measured reading: the film has crossed Rs 133.58 crore domestically, ranking fifth in 2026, with a Rs 200 crore global target within reach. The key figure to watch is the Rs 34.68 crore gap to fourth-place Bhooth Bangla, which will determine if this run has further legs.
