EPFO is automating PF transfers and extending auto-settlement to final withdrawals, with same-day settlement expected for most claims, Central Provident Fund Commissioner Ramesh Krishnamurthi announced. The BHIM app integration for UPI-based withdrawals is due within a month. However, post-IT migration, many members see wrong service history on the member portal, overlapping records, missing companies, or incorrect joining dates, which can block transfers and withdrawals. Employees must verify that all employers are linked to one active UAN, check joining and exit dates against appointment letters, and review monthly contributions in the passbook. If errors persist, a joint declaration with employer approval or a grievance through EPFO’s online portal is needed.
