# ESDS Plants 20,000 Trees Near Nashik, Pledges Five-Year Care

Cloud and data centre company ESDS Software Solution has planted 20,000 trees at Varvandi near Nashik, its largest annual plantation drive. It has assigned a full-time team to protect and maintain the site around the clock for the next five years. The company said the project aims to build a self-sustaining green ecosystem. ESDS cited its Ramsej plantation model, where 35,000 saplings grew into a forest of nearly 100,000 trees after sustained protection. Founder and managing director Piyush Somani said land protection and sapling care are needed to create forests. Director Komal Somani described the effort as part of the company’s longer-term sustainability work.
