Manufacturing accounts for 50-55 per cent of employment, concentrated in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat and other hubs. But nearly 70 per cent of new hiring mandates will emerge outside these clusters, in tier-II and III corridors like Hosur and Sanand.
