# Expired rava, stale bread seized at Apollo Hospital canteen

Food safety officials in Bengaluru have seized expired rava, icing sugar, maida, stale bread and misbranded products from the canteen kitchen of Apollo Hospital on Bannerghatta Road. The three-day special enforcement drive by the Karnataka Food Safety and Drug Administration Department covered 60 three-star and five-star hotels and collected 77 samples for analysis. Statewide, authorities seized 640 kg of mislabelled cereals, 276 kg of rotten vegetables and 45 litres of expired milk. Apollo Hospitals said the violations were procedural and did not affect food quality.
