German authorities found a drone carrying an explosive device at Leipzig/Halle Airport and removed its detonator, The Hindu reports. Both runways were briefly closed, flights were diverted and an anti-explosives robot examined the device. No passengers or airport staff were endangered. The Times of India reports that a DHL cargo aircraft struck an unidentified object after take-off and landed safely in Hanover with minor nose damage. The Hindu says a freight plane collided with an apparent second flying object after aborting a landing because the runway was closed. German authorities have not confirmed whether the collision and drone discovery were linked. Police and prosecutors are investigating.
