The slice-of-life comedy-drama, directed by Saksham Arora and Hemant Mishra, follows a middle-class family led by Gajanand, who is obsessed with his struggling local grocery store attached to their home. The first season premiered in February 2026 and received strong audience love. The new season promises more laughter, drama, and everyday family chaos. The show is written by Hemant Mishra and produced by Vijay Koshy. It stars Shrikant Verma, Garima Vikrant Singh, Hemant Mishra, Baishali Sinha, and others. Episode 1 of Family Kirana Store season 2 releases on August 28. ## Indian Opinion Analysis TVF has built a loyal audience by mining small-town middle-class life for comedy, a formula that powered hits like Kota Factory and Panchayat. Family Kirana Store taps the same vein: a shopkeeper's daily grind and family friction. The quick renewal for a second season, just months after the first premiered in February 2026, signals strong viewership metrics for TVF. The question for the new season is whether the premise can sustain the charm without becoming repetitive. Viewing numbers on YouTube in the first week after August 28 will indicate audience retention. ## Coverage - bollywoodhungama.com Straight promotional piece with release details, no editorial slant This brief was synthesised by AI from the source linked above.
