Saksham Rawat was to celebrate his birthday on Tuesday. CCTV footage shows his bicycle colliding with the e-rickshaw at a T-point near his house. The vehicle, partly on a house ramp, lost balance and toppled onto the boy. He was rushed to a private hospital but declared dead on arrival. Police sources differ on the driver’s fate. Hindustan Times reports the driver fled and will be arrested; Times Now says the driver was apprehended. An FIR under sections for causing death by negligence and rash driving has been registered on a complaint from the boy’s father, Ajay Rawat.
