The deceased were identified by Kataram Circle Inspector E Nagarjuna Rao as K Bapu, 45, and Manoj, 23, according to the Times of India. Bapu had switched on a water motor connected by underground wires. He came in contact with a live wire while diverting water, and Manoj was also electrocuted when he tried to rescue him. Neighbouring farmers alerted the police.
