# Fazl Ali College holds Melange Festival on Renaissance theme 2026-10-10T06:21:34+00:00 | Governance | Indian Opinion Desk Corroboration: 2 independent outlets Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung held its annual Melange Festival from 8 to 9 October under the theme ‘Renaissance’. The two-day event featured competitions, stalls and cultural programmes, with Dr Akumjungla of the Philosophy Department delivering the concept note on the relevance of rebirth and creativity in the age of artificial intelligence. The first day included solo performance, blackout poetry, hackathon, painting, food craft, prepared speech and dance. The second day had flower arrangement, a debate on AI, dress craft, unplugged musical ensemble and mystery solving. Results were declared and prizes sponsored by the teaching staff were awarded, followed by an informal session titled ‘Melange Unscripted’. Various departments and the FAC Fine Arts Club ran stalls selling food, games, handicrafts and art pieces. ## Indian Opinion Analysis Both outlets cover the Melange Festival identically as a straight campus event. The Morung Express leads with the dates and the college name, while Nagaland Post adds the abbreviation FAC in the headline. Neither source adds political framing, government alignment or critical commentary. The uniform coverage reports the same programme, speakers and prize details with no editorial slant. Both outlets end on the stalls and art display, closing the event on a purely descriptive note. No next step is named because the festival has already concluded. ## Coverage Coverage: 2 sources, 2 neutral - morungexpress.com (neutral report) Straight event reporting, no framing beyond factual programme - nagalandpost.com (neutral report) Identical factual coverage, adds FAC abbreviation This brief was synthesised by AI from the 2 sources linked above, so one read covers every framing they carry.
