# FIIs Raise Stakes in MCX, BHEL and Coal India

Foreign institutional investors increased their holdings in MCX, BHEL and Coal India during the June 2026 quarter, even as they sold a net Rs 49,028 crore of Indian equities. FII ownership across the market fell to 15.88%, its lowest level in 14 years, Livemint reports. FII holding in MCX rose to 29.85% from 26.07%, while BHEL’s increased by 2.29 percentage points to 9.52%. Coal India saw a 1.99 percentage-point rise to 10.37%. MCX reported FY26 operating revenue of Rs 23.02 billion and net profit of Rs 13.32 billion. BHEL’s order book stood at Rs 2.4 lakh crore as of 31 March 2026, while Coal India produces nearly 80% of India’s domestic coal.
