# Youth from India, Israel build rehab tech at first hackathon

The first India-Israel Hackathon on restorative healthcare drew 1,300 students and individuals, who formed mixed teams and worked on 14 problem statements. Winning solutions included an Israeli wheelchair-mounted limb mobilisation system that uses wheel rotation for leg movement without electricity, and an Indian real-time video processing system to track patient recovery. Thapar University was the nodal partner in India. Ambassador JP Singh felicitated the winners. Ori Kadvil of the Indian Jewish community in Israel conceived the hackathon. The Indian mission said the initiative strengthened people-to-people ties and showed potential for piloting and commercialising the solutions.
