The consignment carried about 4,000 tonnes of G-10 grade coal in 59 wagons and travelled 1,131 kilometres. It is the first time coal from an SCCL-owned mine outside Telangana has been brought to the state. The Naini block, allocated to SCCL in 2015, began production in April 2025 after pending clearances were completed. The mine has estimated reserves of 340 million tonnes, annual production capacity of 10 million tonnes and an operational life of 36 years, according to The Times of India.
