Hindustan Times reports that a fish swallowed Charl Schwartzel's golf ball during the final round of LIV Golf New York on August 9. The South African's tee shot on the 134-yard par-three seventh hole rolled into a pond. Television footage showed a fish grabbing the ball and swimming away. Schwartzel was penalised one stroke because the ball had entered the penalty area before the fish moved it. He finished the hole with a bogey and ended the tournament tied for 22nd at two-over par. Joaquín Niemann won the event at 16-under.
