# Six killed as tanker rams auto in Sangareddy road accident

Six daily-wage labourers from Karnataka died after a speeding tanker hit their auto-rickshaw on NH-65 in Sangareddy district, Telangana, on Tuesday night. Police said the auto was attempting a U-turn when the collision happened. Four women and the auto driver died on the spot, while another woman succumbed later in hospital, raising the toll to six. All victims were residents of Rajgiri village near the Karnataka border, returning home after work. Seven others were injured and hospitalised in Zaheerabad, Sangareddy and Bidar. Karnataka minister Eswar Khandre visited the village and assured government support. Telangana Today reports the tanker was speeding; siasat.com says a truck collided with the auto. A police investigation is ongoing.
