# Five killed, teen injured as Bolero plunges into 250-metre gorge in Uttarakhand

Five people, including a three-year-old child, died and one teenager was injured after a Bolero (UK08 BL 0387) veered off the Pauri-Devprayag road and plunged about 250 metres into a gorge near Sabdarkhal, Uttarakhand, on Friday. Police and SDRF teams rescued the survivor, Armaan (16), who was taken to Base Hospital in Srinagar. The deceased are Afzal (49), Shabbo (40), their 14-year-old son, another adult Gufran (34), all from Haridwar district. India Today reports the child victim as a three-year-old daughter of Afzal; New Indian Express names four younger victims including a 14-year-old who later died. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
