The complaint, filed on August 11 by the 12-year-old victim, states the incident occurred on August 3 when he and four classmates went to the falls to play. According to Deccan Chronicle, the accused also included the father of a girl student who was present with the group. They allegedly used derogatory language and assaulted the boys.
