# Future CFOs must embrace AI, anticipate change: Telangana official

Telangana Special Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao told the CII Telangana CFO Conclave in Hyderabad that future chief financial officers must anticipate change and adopt artificial intelligence rather than just react. "Machines will always do the arithmetic, the question is whether we will do the thinking," he said, urging finance leaders to evolve from process managers to strategic leaders. Rao noted Telangana's budget grew from Rs 60,000 crore to Rs 2.4 lakh crore and the state aims to become a $3-trillion economy by 2047.
