Vice-chancellor Dr JPS Gill said the university is committed to empowering livestock farmers through scientific knowledge and described goat and sheep farming as a profitable enterprise for self-employment and rural incomes. The training covered breeds, housing, feeding, disease prevention and farm economics. Participants visited the university goat farm and PAU's integrated farming system. Dr RS Grewal stressed such livestock enterprises can strengthen rural livelihoods, especially for youth.
