# Gambhir Says India Ready for Sri Lanka Test Series

India head coach Gautam Gambhir has said the team will be ready for every challenge when its two-Test series against Sri Lanka begins on August 15. Speaking before a practice session, he urged players to maintain intensity, focus and physical readiness. The first Test will be played in Galle, followed by the second in Colombo from August 23. Gambhir welcomed new squad members Saransh Jain and Auqib Nabi. Saransh earned selection after strong domestic performances for Madhya Pradesh. Nabi replaces injured Jasprit Bumrah and helped Jammu and Kashmir win their first Ranji Trophy title last season. The series is India’s first World Test Championship assignment since losing 2-0 at home to South Africa last December.
