# Same Gang Returns, Loots Senior Advocate’s House in Kurukshetra

Four masked men broke into the home of senior advocate Balwant Singh Walia in Kurukshetra on Thursday evening, holding him and his wife at gunpoint. The gang looted cash, gold, silver, a licensed revolver and other valuables worth about Rs 3.15 crore, according to a police complaint. The accused told the couple they had attempted a Rs 50-lakh burglary at the same house in March but failed to open the digital safes. The incident happened when Walia returned from walking his dog and found his wife bound and gagged. Before fleeing, the robbers damaged CCTV cameras, took the DVR and threatened to return if the couple reported the crime. Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act, and are examining city-wide CCTV footage. Security has been deployed at the advocate's residence.
