A 24-year-old Mumbai woman, Riddhi Thakkar, died after a speeding trailer truck hit her motorcycle on NH-30 in Chhattisgarh's Dhamtari district. The accident happened around 5-6 am on Wednesday while she was travelling with a group of 23 riders from Mumbai to explore Bastar. India Today reports the trailer driver fled the scene; police are examining CCTV footage and have registered a case of unnatural death. Earlier the same day, a 27-year-old biker named Krishna Vishwakarma was killed in Vasai, Mumbai, when a Bharat Petroleum gas delivery truck rammed his two-wheeler around 11.30 am. Hindustan Times reports the driver was detained and the truck impounded. Achole police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the cause.
