# Gland Pharma to Add 1,400-Tonne Sterile API Capacity for Neuland

Gland Pharma will build and operate a dedicated sterile manufacturing suite at its Visakhapatnam facility for Neuland Laboratories under a long-term contract development and manufacturing partnership. The suite is expected to add about 1,400 kg of annual capacity and will meet current good manufacturing practice, US FDA and EU standards. The companies will jointly provide development, scale-up, regulatory support and commercial manufacturing for sterile active pharmaceutical ingredients, including those used in microparticle depot products and other complex injectable therapies. Neuland’s board has approved a deed of corporate guarantee worth Rs 40 crore in favour of Gland Pharma. The partnership combines Neuland’s complex API capabilities with Gland Pharma’s sterile manufacturing and regulatory expertise.
