# Golconda Fort dress rehearsal readies for Telangana I-Day fete

Telangana held a full dress rehearsal on Thursday at Golconda Fort for the August 15 Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony. The rehearsal followed the exact sequence planned for the main event, including Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's arrival and the flag-hoisting. Tamil Nadu Special Police personnel participated in the drill, continuing a practice of inviting forces from a neighbouring state each year. ACP Syed Fayaz said 500 to 600 police personnel will be deployed for the ceremony. Chhattisgarh participated last year and Karnataka the year before.
