In a princely donation, prominent industrialist from Kolkata Sanjiv Goenka, on Friday donated a pair of diamond studded golden “Kati and Varada hastas” to the temple of Lord Venkateswara. The intricately designed ornament will be adorned to the main deity on festive occasions.

The donation whose value is pegged at ₹3.63 crore and weighed 5.267 kilograms was formally handed over to TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary at the Ranganayakula Mandapam inside the temple.
