Gold prices rose across Indian cities on August 6, according to The Hindu BusinessLine. Mumbai’s 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 13,775 per gram, up Rs 265, while 24-carat gold stood at Rs 14,464, up Rs 275. In Delhi, 22-carat gold cost Rs 13,825 per gram and 24-carat gold Rs 14,516. Chennai’s 22-carat rate was Rs 13,450, while its 24-carat rate was Rs 14,438. The Hindu BusinessLine also reported higher prices in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata. Rates varied by city and purity. The previous day, Times Now News reported MCX gold opening 0.66 per cent higher at Rs 1.44 lakh per 10 grams, with retail 24-carat prices at Rs 14,575 per gram in several cities.
